1. The storm is coming in fast, I took this minutes ago and now the sky is navy blue… Time to batten down the hatches for the second night in a row… #noeffects #nofilter

  9. Today is May 12th - International M.E and Fibromyalgia awareness day.

I suffer with both of these invisible illnesses, and have done for many years. Without them, I may never have become a model and my life would be very different right now. I would still be a scientist, I may still manage bands and tours and I may have had a family.

Instead, I spend most of my time bed bound, in massive amounts of pain and trying to cope with the simplest of day to day tasks. Just getting up, brushing my teeth, showering and getting dressed can take me hours to do. Some days I simply don’t have the energy to do them.

Most of my time is spent with my favourite chihuahua in bed. That’s what I usually look like. On the days that I am lucky enough to get dressed, put on make up, tidy my hair and get in front of a camera I look like the other picture. The Loula you all recognise. Hopefully some of the information here will help you to understand how my life works.

M.E is a severe, debilitating and sadly misunderstood illness. It is a neurological condition that effects every single part of my life and has left me a shell of the person I was 10 years ago.

But…

I won’t let it beat me. Ever.
